  • Know two definitions of culture ( to take care of and to care for or care about)
  • Why is globalization important
In class we all explained our questions that we used in our blog last night.I forgot to do a blog, so I had to make a question up on the spot. As I was listening to my other classmates ask questions I wrote down The two questions above because these were the important topics I did not fully understand. As of now I have studied using my other blogs and the notes that I took a picture of during class to study for this test. I was pretty confident for this test before I studied but now I m prepared.

 Toady in class instead of reviewing the test we read and took notes on the next three sections. The first section was on the Rise of Christianity and talked about how Jesus' teachings spread. The most important reason they spread was because his teachings brought salvation to all. Christianity was a vision that a Roman emperor had before he went into battle. They won the battle and he made it so Christians would no longer be persecuted.

Test review

  Most of today in class was spent reviewing last weeks test from last week. Class was last mod today so everyone was more lethargic than usual. Since I was the only person to get a 100% on the test I really didn't need the review. The only plus side of reviewing was I had time to write the answers on the test so I could use it without my scan tron sheet. The rest of class time was spent taking notes on the population power point. We discussed immigration and emigration and why. We used the example of Canada and why people would want to immigrate there because their rate is so high. We came to the conclusion that the healthcare paid for by the government was a pull factor in people's decisions to move to Canada.

Blogging trouble and syllabus review

        At the beginning of class today I expected to be one of the people who had their blog correctly set up. When I didn't see my name on the list it was because I had emailed the link that wasn't connected to my account. While writing yesterday's blog I didn't know while publishing my blog if I should make it public or not, so I did and because of it four random people have seen my previous blog. Before reading the syllabus, I didn't know what human geography was, but after reading I concluded that it was similar to a social studies class that was based around people and their cultures. In conclusion I am prepared for this class which requires an open mind set and hard work. I believe that this class will be challenging but worth it in the end. And I am ready to start and to have fun in this class.
